I'm just starting my journey into game development, and this page is where I'll be documenting that adventure. My approach is simple: start small, finish projects, and learn something new with each game.
Right now I'm working my way through remaking classic games and adding my own twist to each one. It's the perfect way to learn the fundamentals without getting overwhelmed by ambitious ideas that leave me demotivated when I can't figure them out.
Each game teaches me something new while staying simple enough to actually finish:
✅ Pong → Pung: A Roguelite - First completed game!
Learned: Game loops, UI systems, modifier patterns, audio management, and the importance of finishing projects
🔄 Coming Next: Space Invaders 👾
"Done is better than perfect. Every finished game teaches you more than a dozen abandoned ambitious projects."
All of this is building toward my dream game, something I'm not ready to tackle yet, but getting closer to with every project. For now, I'm focused on building my skills and learning game dev from the very start!
I'd love to hear from fellow devs, especially other beginners! Whether you want to:
Drop me a comment or reach out! I've been wanting to join this community for so long, I'm excited to connect!
Thanks for being part of this journey! 🚀
